In FCE profile interviews, FCE likes to be more personal than ever and today, we present Dylan Hobbs, a Hollywood talent worth keeping an eye on. In his own very original words, uncut and as direct as ever, Dylan takes us through his incredible journey. That’s why we are FatalCut Entertainment. Saying it as it is…
LA top gun actor Dylan Hobbs, born in southern Indiana and raised in Indianapolis. Thanks to Dylan’s father Randall Hobbs, an Indiana native born construction worker, Dylan grew up as an athlete with a weight bench and boxing equipment in the basement. His father coached him in baseball and football growing up. Dylan also took a keen interest in martial arts and eastern philosophy, having a big effect on him as he is still an avid yogi and meditation practitioner.
Now you ask, how did this kid end up in show business? Well, I’m going to tell you. Besides being the world’s greatest cook, Dylan’s mother Barbara Hobbs Wilson is also a former model, Ms. Indiana title holder, and former co-host of a local Indiana game show, Hoosier Millionaire. Growing up around a television studio and having a mother as a local celebrity lit a fire in Dylan that is burning hotter than ever to this day. Dylan took a directing class in high school and went on to study theater and achieve a degree in Health and Fitness from Purdue University. 2 weeks after graduation Dylan moved to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career. He has been featured on television shows such as Nip Tuck and Days of Our Lives.
Dylan is currently shooting the feature film Joker Rising with Smoking Alien Productions directed by Alek Gearhart. You can also see Dylan in the thriller Axeman of Cutter’s Creek, with Blood Red Films directed by Joston El Rey Theney, which will be out later this year. Dylan has always enjoyed making people laugh and loves cinema as much as life itself. His favorite actors include Dudley Moore, Daniel Day Lewis and Christoph Waltz. You can follow Dylan on IMDB or Facebook.
When I was 15 years old the patriarch of my family, grandfather Dr. Lloyd Helm, passed of a sudden heart attack and my parents divorced shortly after. I guess you could say that was the year life hit me with a spinning back fist and I became a man. I am grateful to have known him and very blessed to have a family that loves me and supports what I do.
Sometimes I think I’m still waiting for the day to say enough is enough. HA HA. Actually this wasn’t one specific event in my life. I guess after a point I just realized that no one is going to do it for me and this is the project and love of my life. I cannot see or hear any contradiction to this.
I really am not a huge fan of clothes. I do enjoy getting dressed up occasionally for premiers or movie screenings, but for the most part I spend a majority of my time dressed in what God gave me. I even have a no pants days where I rebel and refuse to put pants on for the entire day, these days occur more frequently during summer time.
