FB recently went public with an IPO. I do not recall at any point reading something on the advertisement strategy of FB. Does it mean that social networks do not need to advertise?
More than 50% of facebook users access their information through the mobile platform. That is more than 50% of 845 million users worldwide. FB is not yet monetizing the mobile platform as it’s doing on the desktop and laptop portals. The mobile space is dominated by Google and Apple. If FB users increasingly navigate to the mobile platform, FB will need to figure out how to compete with Google and Apple. I’m sure they have a plan in place because the millions of investors buying into the IPO should have an idea of how this will play out in the next few years.
